On May 5th
2022, 4 members of Yonsei Global and 3 exchange students gathered in front of
the Sinchon campus to visit the Bukchon Hanok Village. We met early in the
morning to take the bus and arrived at Anguk station at around 9:30AM. After
changing into hanbok, a Korean traditional clothing, we walked to the village.
Bukchon Hanok
Village was beautiful with its extraordinary view and calm atmosphere. We
walked around, enjoying the daylight, and admired the traditional building
structures. We took pictures of each other in hanbok.
After looking
around the village, we stopped by a famous churros store. They had all sorts of
flavors, so we each picked our favorites – oreo, injeolmi, and cinnamon with
ice-cream. After cooling down with some ice-cream and churros, we walked back
to the hanbok store to get changed and headed for lunch. We enjoyed jjukkumi and
had more time to get to know each other.
The walk around
Bukchon Hanok Village was not only a great opportunity to explore Korean
traditional clothing and building structures, but also to meet new friends. We
had a delightful time talking about our interests and really enjoyed getting to
know each other. We hope to meet again soon.
