On April 9th, 2022, 4 YG members and 2 exchange students met at the front gate of Yonsei University at 12 PM. First we introduced ourselves. Then, to get to know each other more, we went to eat lunch together. We ate jjimdak near our campus.
After eating lunch, we went to “photoism” to take pictures in the photobooth. We still had time left before our pottery class, so we bought drinks like iced vanilla latte and lemonade.
At first, we sketched our pottery design on a piece of paper. Then our instructor taught us the basics of making pottery. We learned that if we play with the clay too much, the clay is going to harden due to the warmth of our hands. We also learned to use our palms when flattening the piece of clay.
With the help from our instructor, we made cups, bowls, jewelry dishes and decorative figurines. We were also able to experience using pottery wheel.
Our pottery class ended around 3:30 PM. After class, we all walked to the subway station together. Overall, this program was a good bonding experience as we were able to talk a lot before and during pottery class. It was also a good sensory experience.
On Monday May 22nd, 2023, TS2 went to 명륜진사갈비, a BBQ restaurant in Sinchon. 2 international students from Norway and 5 Korean members ate charcoal-grilled ribs for 2 hours.
