Global Day organized by Yonsei Global was held on 6th to 7th November, at Baekyang Nuri(The Common). The theme of the day was Vietnamese culture. As this is a semiannual event, every single member of Yonsei Global has participated to make it successful.
There were six booths in total including the information booth, four gaming booths and prize booth.
At the first gaming booth, visitors had to answer a question about Vietnamese culture and history. Most people were confused with the exchange rate of 10,000 Vietnamese dong to Korean won. The answer was 500 won to 100 dong rate!
The second booth demonstrated two Vietnamese food culture ; a traditional Vietnamese herbs called Coriander and Vietnamese coffee bean. The visitors were given a chance to guess a correct Coriander image among different images of herbs. Also, they had given a shot to distinguish between Arabica coffee bean that we normally faces in regular coffee and Vietnamese coffee bean.
Moreover, Vietnamese traditional costumes and games were prepared at the third and fourth booth. The visitors had an enjoyable time trying out an unique culture customs and games.
After going through the four booths, the visitors could finally taste Bahn mi, the traditional Vietnamese sandwich. It was a great time for both us members and the visitors!
