On November 20th, with early Christmas carols ringing on the streets in Korea, 3 YG members and 3 exchange students visited Namsan Tower located in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Since it was a time when the coronavirus had increased again, we never took off our masks except when we took pictures. In fact, the official name of Namsan Tower is Namsan Seoul Tower, which Koreans usually call Namsan Tower....
On May 6th, we all met up in front of Yonsei university for 3rd Global Angel activity. Six YG members and around 20 exchange students gathered up at 12:50pm and headed to Ddukseom Han River Park. We took a subway to get there and it took us about 40 minutes.
After getting off the subway, we were given gloves for picking up trash and raincoat for expected rain.
All YG members were holding trash bag. All participating members walked around the park and picked up trashes thrown out on the ground and the grass. It was not a busy day because of the weather, so it was not that difficult to walk and do this program. There were a lot of trashes on the ground which made us feel bad. Some people walking by also picked up some trashes and dropped them to the trash bag.
After doing 30 minutes of volunteering, it started to rain so that we had to wrap up today’s session.
We were supposed to eat chicken and have fun on the grass as a picnic but we changed our plan to go to Korean pancake restaurant back at Sinchon. We split all members into small groups so that they could get to know each other better. Food was great, and the vibe was excellent.
